Gelato weed

Gelato is a cross between Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, named in homage to its sweet aroma. Also known as Larry Bird, Gel (#33) was first cultivated in Northern California’s Bay Area and is derived from a deep bank of genetics created by the Cookie Family, the Sherbinskis family, and cultivator Mario Guzman.

What is gelato weed?

The cultivators parted ways following its creation, and the cultivator who possesses the most “stable version” of Gel genetics is up for debate. Cookies cultivates a few phenotypes and descendants of the strain named  #42, Dolce, and a sun-grown Ge. Sherbinskis grows four stabilized Gelato phenotypes in its rotation as well: #41 (Bacio ), #43 (Gello), ,  #49 (Acai Berry). Per Sherbinskis, the #33 phenotype is no longer in cultivation.

The Gelato strain is a woody and smooth strain that incorporates flowery lavender and earthy notes which gradually transform into citrus and berries on exhale. It is a great strain to boost your mood and spirits, while also helping to instill a creative energy with intense focus. Gelato is also used for a long list of chronic conditions as well, making a great choice as a medicinal bud.
