Rick simpson oil

Rick simpson oil benefits can be reaped through a variety of products and ingestion methods, but some patients suffering from chronic diseases and cancers need something stronger than a joint.

Rick Simpson Oil, a form of highly concentrated marijuana from California named after its creator, takes whole marijuana plant matter and extracts the plant’s cannabinoids and other natural oils with isopropyl alcohol. Patients using the treatment have claimed everything from tumor reduction to loss of pain, with many other potential benefits in between.

Unfortunately, finding RSO isn’t very easy. Most patients previously received it from a personal caregiver or made it themselves, but both of those practices are fading fast as more pot shops open. Now some dispensaries and commercial extractors are answering the call, with Caregivers for Life labs, Colorado Cannabis Company and Karing Kind Labs all selling wholesale RSO to medical and recreational dispensaries.

Rick Simpson oil is many things. It’s a cannabis extract that can be made at home from an easy recipe. It’s a popular product widely sold in dispensaries. And, for many believers, it’s the long-sought-after cure for cancer.

Named after the man who supposedly used the oil to cure his own skin cancer, Rick Simpson oil (RSO) has quickly become one of the most discussed and praised “cancer treatments” of modern times, all without a single prescription from a licensed doctor.

Type the term into a social media app and one can soon find hundreds of posts by those who’ve halted their chemotherapy and switched to the cannabis oil, or shunned radiotherapy to manage their brain tumor “naturally.”

Of course, this isn’t to disparage the community’s intentions; almost every Rick Simpson forum, comment section, and discussion board is bursting with empathetic responses to the stresses of living with cancer and a passion for the plant extract they believe is giving them relief.

Rick Simpson oil (RSO) is a cannabis oil product. It was developed by Rick Simpson, a Canadian medical marijuana activist.

RSO differs from a lot of other cannabis oils because it contains higher levels of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). This is the main psychoactive cannabinoid in marijuana that gets people “high.” Other therapeutic cannabis oils tend to contain a cannabinoid called cannabidiol (CBD) and little or no THC. In addition, Rick Simpson doesn’t sell RSO. Instead, he encourages to people to create their own using his methods.

Read on to learn more about the health claims behind RSO and whether it lives up to the hype.

The main claim surrounding RSO is that it treats cancer. After Simpson was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2003, he began applying RSO to the cancerous spots on his face and neck. According to Simpson, the spots healed within a few days.

According to Rick Simpson’s website, RSO is made from a particular type of cannabis called Cannabis indica, which produces a sedative effect that helps the body heal.

In addition to cancer, RSO is said to also treat:

  • multiple sclerosis
  • arthritis
  • asthma
  • infections
  • inflammation
  • high blood pressure
  • depression
  • insomnia

have used and purchased SO many products and brands of CBD, but have found this brand to be far superior in quality and the most cost-effective.
I am SO grateful for the package I received, was graciously gifted! I would love to refer more of my coworkers—thank you for all you do!

  2. Dylan

I’m a medical and recreational user, and RSO is my primary consumption method. I have found that my pain is best managed when I have small doses of 1:1 every 2-3 hours of the day.

  3. Dogpeppers

I like the pull a glob off the syringe with my teeth and then use my tongue to stick to the roof of my mouth so it can dissolve wile I sleep

  4. Azgrows

RSO is very useful for people requiring really high doses of CBD and/or THC. You can put some RSO in a gel cap and take that, you can eat it as is (tastes pretty bad) or even make edibles it of it. Think of it as a massive dose edible, a 1g seringe with, say, 85% THC is 850mg THC ($40-80 per seringe). You’d need to spend a lot more in normal edibles (chocolates, gummies, etc…) to get the same amount of THC/CBD.
